Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Name, address and email of the sole proprietor - same as the Imprint

2. Data Protection Officer

A Data Protection Officer (Datenschutzbeauftragter) is not required for this business.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by GoDaddy. When you visit the site, the host automatically processes technical data (server log files) such as the IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, and the browser/operating system used. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and reliably.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable provision of the website).

4. Contact form

If you use the contact form, the data you enter - your name, email address and the content of your message - is transmitted to and processed by our form-handling provider, Web3Forms, which forwards your enquiry to us by email.

Purpose: To receive and respond to your enquiry, and to protect the form against spam.

Spam protection (honeypot): The form includes a hidden field invisible to normal users. If it is filled in (which typically only automated bots do), the submission is rejected. This involves no cookies and no tracking of normal visitors.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a (pre-)contractual matter, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding and in spam protection).

Recipient / processor: Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative, Kerala, India. Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policies available under: https://web3forms.com

Data location: We use the EU hosting option, so contact form data is processed on servers in the European Union.

Retention: We delete enquiries when they are no longer needed and no statutory retention period requires otherwise.

5. Fonts

Fonts on this website are self-hosted and served directly from our hosting infrastructure. No connection to third-party font providers (such as Google Fonts servers) is established, and no data is transmitted to them for this purpose.

6. Analytics (Umami Cloud)

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics service, to understand how our website is used (for example, number of visitors, pages viewed, and referring sources). Umami does not set cookies, does not track you across websites, and collects only aggregated statistics. It does not store data that personally identifies you.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a (pre-)contractual matter, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding and in spam protection).

Provider: Umami Software, Inc., San Francisco, USA. Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policies available under: https://umami.is/

Data location: We use the EU hosting option, so analytics data is processed on servers in the European Union.

7. Cookies / local storage

Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The only data stored locally in your browser is a functional setting remembering your light/dark theme preference. This is technically necessary for the feature you choose and is not used to track you.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for you is "Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Nordrhein-Westfalen".

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our website or to legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page.
